^ Subject: problems with Apple Macintosh version of Bugfix 2/3 for Gap4r3

Dear Forum,

unfortunately, there has been a problem with the Macintosh binaries
shipped with bugfix 2 (and still required with bugfix 3). These
binaries have now been replaced by corrected versions.

If you get the following error message when starting GAP:

Error, You are running a GAP kernel which does not fit with the library.
Probably you forgot to apply the kernel part or the library part
of a bugfix?
not in any function
Entering break read-eval-print loop ...
you can 'quit;' to quit to outer loop, or
you can 'return;' to continue

then please delete the GAP application (GAP 4 68k or GAP 4 PPC),
download the relevant GAP binary (bin4r3n2-68k.sit or
bin4r3n2-PPC.sit) again and install it, as described in the
installation instructions. The above error should then disappear.

If you do not get the above error message, you already have the
correct GAP application.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Burkhard Hoefling.
