I wrote some time ago:
The manual for GAP-3.4.4 does not yet contain documentation for the
library of small groups computed by Bettina Eick and Hans Ulrich
Besche. This library is included in GAP 3.4.4 anyhow.
This has been fixed now and this mail is to announce this bugfix for
the GAP documentation. The priority of this fix is low.
This fix adds the missing documentation for the small groups library
of Bettina Eick and Hans-Ulrich Besche. It is rather large in size as
it also changes the - dependent - index files and html files.
Having the fix not installed just leaves you without documentation for
the small groups library.
To apply the fix, load the zoo archive 'fix6.zoo' from the bugfixes
Alternatively you can find this file in the 'bugfixes' directory of
the GAP ftp site.
Unpack the file in the home directory of your GAP distribution (the
directory containing the 'lib' and 'etc' directories) using
(On a PC or a Mac you will have to enter the argument line after the
call to 'unzoo'.) This will replace the erraneous file by fixed
versions. Make sure you have write permissions when applying the fix.
You can remove the file 'description6' afterwards.
If you also want an up-to-date dvi file, you can get it from the ftp
server as well.
If the fix has been applied correctly, the command
?The Small Groups Library
should produce a help page.
