Dear GAP-Forum,

I'm new to this forum, and to gap.
Has anyone written an Emacs interface to gap?
I'd like to be able to run gap via NTEmacs.
That would restore and improve
the command line editing (which does not
work with the win/dos version).

There is an emacs-interface to GAP
(based on comint-mode), although I don't know
whether it would work on NTEmacs (I presume it would).

See
<your-gap-source-installation-path>/etc/gap-process.el
(oops, it's \ in NT :-))

Also, you might like an emacs mode for editing GAP source
code files - see gap-mode.el and gap-mode.doc
in the same directory.

Hope this helps,
Dmitrii
