Edward Thomas Copson

Edward Copson graduated from Oxford and was appointed a lecturer at Edinburgh. He later held posts at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich and Queen's College Dundee before being appointed Regius Professor at St Andrews. He was an expert on Complex Analysis and contributed many papers on this subject. He became Secretary of the EMS in 1924, President in 1930 and 1954 and an honorary member in 1979.
