Alexander Yule Fraser

1857 - 1890


Alexander Yule Fraser graduated from the university of Aberdeen and taught at George Watson's College Edinburgh. He became headmaster of Allen Glen's Institute in Glasgow though his time there was dogged by ill-health. With Barclay and Knott he was one of the writers who originally proposed the founding of the EMS. He became Secretary and Treasurer in 1883 and President in 1889.
