John Edward Aloysius Steggall

John Steggall graduated from Cambridge and then taught at Clifton College Bristol and Owens College Manchester. He was appointed to be the first Professor of Mathematics at the newly-formed University College Dundee: soon to become Queen's College and part of the University of St Andrews. He held this post for 50 years. He became President of the EMS in 1891 and 1924. | |||||||||
