John Wilson

1847 - 1896


John Wilson graduated from Edinburgh University and trained as a Free Church minister. He took over the Rectorship of his father's Academy in Bannockburn but later moved to Edinburgh as a tutor in mathematics and physics. He became Treasurer of the EMS in 1888 and President in 1896.
