Dear GAP Forum,

There is now a GAP4 version of my share package 'cohomolo' that can be
downloaded from the GAP web-site http://www-gap.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~gap.
This contains external binaries that run under UNIX only, and its
functionality is unchanged from the GAP3 version.

Description

The cohomology package defines functions which may be used to perform certain cohomological
calculations on a finite group G. These include:

1.The p-part P of the Schur multiplier of G, and a presentation of a covering
extension of P by G, for a specified prime p;

2.The dimensions of the first and second cohomology groups of G acting on a
finite dimensional KG module M, where K is a field of prime order; and

3.Presentations of split and nonsplit extensions of M by G.
