^ Subject: Windows "panel" -- volunteers sought

Dear GAP Forum,

As you will have seen in previous forum messages, a number of users have
problems running GAP under various flavours of Microsoft Windows. As you can
imagine, we also receive reports of many such problems sent to the
`gap-trouble' address. While we do our best to help these users, we are not
Windows users ourselves (we develop mainly under Linux) and we do not have
access to all the various versions of Windows (95, 98, NT, non-English
language versions, etc.). In several cases, other members of the GAP forum
have been able to give much more helpful answers than we have to these
problems.

To deal better with this situation, we would like to recruit a "panel" of
experienced users of GAP and Windows, to whom we could forward questions from
gap-trouble, and whom we could perhaps also ask to test Windows binaries of
new releases, and Windows-specific bug fixes. Please let us know (email
gap-trouble) if you would be willing to join such a panel.

Steve Linton
