Hello All,
Wonder if somebody has found (created) one decent text editor

Thank you,

In case you work under Unix, there's always emacs. There is (or used to
be) a GAP mode for emacs in the etc directory of the distribution. It
included features such as automatic indenting, which worked correctly most
of the time. I added some basic highlighting support (also buggy), but I
never distributed it. Contact me if you're interested.

For other operating systems: Emacs is supposed to be available at least
under Windows, but installing it just for editing GAP files might be kind
of an overkill.

Sven.
