Hi,

I am testing a number of groups in a loop... I have to do a LatticeSubgroups
on each group in turn. I keep running out of memory, but if I restart
the loop at the bad point, it then works for a couple more groups and
then dies again.

Obviously, there is some information that GAP is storing even though
as far as I (the programmer) is concerned it is out of scope.

Can I force GAP to flush its memory at the beginning of each loop?

What would the consequences be of starting GAP up with much more
memory than physically available on the machine?

Cheers

gordon
