This is exactly what I told him. Nevertheless, as GAP is doing unadorned
IO (if I remember well, the GAP line editing features are off), I had a
feeling that it is not completely unreasonable to expect there is a way
to make this IO take place in a more intelligent window, without recom-
piling GAP that is. After all, this is a truly trivial task in some
other environments.
